Summary: Arthur/Merlin, modern!AU. Arthur and Merlin make out in Merlin's car in front of Arthur's house.
Notes: This kiss scene is absolutely incredible. The boys are stuffed in the front seat of their car and trying to make do with awkwardness, unsurety, and plain old horniness. The setting is vivid and SO RELATABLE (hasn't everyone experienced awkward sexy times in cars?). This kiss is real and backed with so much feeling and unsaid histories. It's pretty freaking awesome.

Summary: Arthur/Merlin. they don't kiss. it's one of the many unpsoken rules between them
Notes: ANGSTY GOODNESS, RIGHT HERE. This fic packs such a punch in very few words; I love that the author left so much unspoken, but hinted at. Gives the reader room to imagine an entire history of the boys full of longing, joy, shared moments, etc.

Summary: Arthur/Merlin, angsty!Arthur, epic, future!fic, UST. After Merlin travels forward in time to help Arthur win a battle, he finds the experience impossible to give up.
Inspired by the Time Traveller's Wife.
Notes: It's been awhile since I could rightfully tag a story as an epic, but I'm so glad to break it out again for this occasion. The story spans decades and it's filled with uncertainties, longing, and love. It wallops you over the head with emotion and then closes it neatly with a hopeful ending. If you've read Time Traveller's Wife, this fic does a good job of keeping the novel's spirit.

I'm going to second that as someone who adored the book. I didn't catch the recap though, or that kiss fic (I don't think I've checked the Merlin/Arthur kiss meme in a day or so, I should get on that, yay for masterposts) so will check those out for sure.
