What an honor. Check it out, Breathe Love's alter ego, renamed "Catalyst" in the Dir en Grey (I think?) fandom. And here's the thread about the plagiarist project_avoid :P.

It's my first time getting plagiarised, seeing as how Breathe Love was my first fic anyway >.> Pissed off at first, of course, but then all these nice ppl from the other fandom popped out from the woodwork and now I'm just really flattered and kinda happy that the story got out to a bigger public :D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm glad to know who the real author of the fanfic is so I can give credit where it is deserved. Your writing style is really just amazing; I love how you portrayed each character and their emotions. ♥

I'm unfortunately not a Prison Break fan, but perhaps I'll read it just for the sake of knowing what happens. As for the plagiarism incident, I'm just curious-- the plagiarizer posted many other fics that were tangents of Breathe Love. I believe she posted something regarding 50 themes/sentences.

Were all of those written by you too? Or did she actually do some work? /sarcasm.

Either way, wonderful job and please keep on writing.

Nooope, I am starting to think she stole everything (although in Catalyst, the titled interludes were not written by me). I think the 50 sentences one you're mentioning is by halfshellvenus, who is an *amazing* writer. Too bad you're not into Prison Break, it's a great little fandom in this corner :3

Lol actually, I think I was more upset as a reader than a writer (I'm thinking project_avoid's Lessons in Life). If you're a reader, all you get is a half-finished fic you were following and feelings of betrayal since all your comments went to waste. As a writer I just got all these wonderful comments at once from people in the other fandom, and some pride in knowing that my writing was worth stealing XD

I'm in the process of trying to put together a comprehensive list of who was effected as well as trying to find the original fics for what are most likely plagiarized fic. If you could got to this post (http://community.livejournal.com/stop_plagiarism/21329.html), review it and leave me titles and links to your work, as well as see if there is anything that was converted by bluesemicolon into the Karou/Die setting that you recognized as a Prison Break fic, that would be deeply appreciated.

Also, if you happen to have contact information for project_avoid/bluesemicolon, I would love it if you could email it to me at spiralled at yahoo dot com.

Excuse me for creepily being in your journal looking for something to read. I was very aware that project_avoid was quite a plagiarist from their writing. I only read a little of what was in the Prison Break communities, but it was blatant what they had attempted to formulate and then what they had actually stolen from books no less.
I left them a scathing comment after one of "their" chapters and deleted it so they got the message and I didn't look like an elitist snob ;) but I'm sorry you were wrapped up in it, as well as other writers on lj. I haven't been around here long enough to be able to be familiar enough to recognize things that well.
