overlady_hikki brought up an interesting idea yesterday. She said, in reference to the Merlin BigBang09 fics: I've almost made it through the list myself...[could we] possibly share notes? to which I replied YES. YES, WE CAN SHARE NOTES. In fact...
I'm reviewing Merlin BB09 and I want two other guest reviewers to help round out the list. Why? Because much as I try to stay fair when I write reviews, I'm hardly deluded enough to think I'm objective (especially since reviews are, by definition, subjective). So the best way to give you guys a well-rounded look at this year's haul is to include reviews coming from people with different fic preferences.
I haven't worked out a format for the review list yet, and it'll be awhile until I finish them up (I've only read 5/23 fics so far), but in the meantime, try your hand! Just follow the directions to enter:
1. Take a fic from any previous Round-Up.
2. Review it. Especially if you disagreed with my notes.
3. APPLY IN THE COMMENTS WITH YOUR REVIEW.
I'm looking for a) succinctness b) people who enjoy plotty!fic and/or established relationship c) well-intentioned concrit.
