QUESTION: Does anyone know how to link to an author from dreamwidth? I can't use the code < lj user="username" > because the profiles I'm trying to link to aren't livejournal ones. On the other hand, I feel like I've seen similar icons around fandom that direct you to profiles hosted on other blog sites.

Lean pickings lately, I'm thinking everyone's hard at work on Merlin BigBang. And hey it'll probably pick up too after Merlin airs in the US (it's on today!!). Mmm...I smell fresh blood. But in the meantime, TRY SOMETHING NEW is the trend of the week. Threesomes? Angst? What are these genres you speak of??

Don't Let the Door Hit You by bentrumors (NC-17, 1k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin/OMC, threesome. Arthur and Merlin have a guest over.
Notes: Normally I avoid threesomes (OTP4EVA) but Merlin in the middle of a Chinese finger trap? Whew, a girl's gotta make exceptions! This smutlet lives up to the kink and it's filthy, filthy hot. And hey, it still ends with Arthur and Merlin only having eyes for each other, so there's that :D

Somewhere a Clock is Ticking by mawigan (vid)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, Arthur-Finds-Out fic. Done to "Somewhere a Clock is Ticking" by Snow Patrol.
Notes: Amazing storytelling. The plot is absolutely seamless, using old footage in fresh ways to tell the story. The music is epic and heartrending. Just beware: the end is pretty angsty (um, character death :P), but we're all well-versed in seeing what we want to see! So for me, Arthur is AAAAA-OKAY. Just a flesh wound. At any rate, watch this because it's really well-done and tugs at the heartstrings.


RPS recs

Hey, who turned out the lights? by timetraveled (PG-13, 3k)
Summary: Bradley/Colin, drunken!FirstTime. The power goes out and the boys have nothing to do in their hotel rooms but to get wasted.
Notes: Great characterization! Always a must for RPS. Bradley and Colin are adorable in here, bored and antsy and bantery. This fic is sunshine and rainbows, baby.

I am actually here via the vidding newsletter for your vid recs, but I saw your question, and realized, that code might come handy, so I asked my friend, who knows more about the DW codes, and one has to do to make those links for LJ, she wrote it here:
