aeroport_artHey guys! Did y'all have a good week? Work's been pretty chill for me, but we're gearing up for a crazy-ass one next week.
Had a bridal shower/bachelorette yesterday. It was the first I've been to! It was surprisingly fun, and methinks I have my next fb profile picture in the batch somewhere XD
As for fic, there's a strong trend for this week: LITE AND SWEET. Like yogurt or whipped cream or something. You won't find any deep, life-altering opus magnums here, but everything's breezily written and happy and smiley. Just the way I like my Arthur/Merlin!

Summary: Arthur/Merlin. Merlin decides he wants to learn to fly. Only things don't quite go to plan. Merlin takes on various animal forms in his run-up to achieving a bird form. Of course, this means he gets into all sorts of shenanigans!
Notes: Endearing as all get out. I love Merlin as a cute and fluffy animal, and when you multiply that by TONS of cute, fluffy animals, it gets pretty damned Disney-esque. There are some great lines in this thing with a fluffy hurt/comfort scene at the end. Nothing to dislike here!
Four Times Arthur Forced Himself to Resist Merlin (And One Time He Could Not) bynuttx (PG-13, ~2k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin. In which Merlin is sexually provocative, although not on purpose, and Arthur displays more self control than he should be allowed to.
Notes: This fic is like a shortcut to the good stuff in longer works: quick scenes of angsty longing with one happy ending! Seriously. IT'S ALL GOOD TIMES IN HERE.
Shadows by Candelight bywldcatsprstr_14 (R, ~1k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, candlewax!kink. Arthur's just inspecting Merlin's wound. The one right under his ass. *nodnod*
Notes: This is easily the sexiest I've ever found candlewax to be! It's not a kink of mine but still, this story was engaging enough to make it hot. I think it helps that the wax was worked in as an accident, so you don't get that OOC factor for this world. Also, the author spends time describing the candle light and it sets the mood; the fic feels very Barbara Walters soft-focus, with warm hues and tres romantic.

Summary: Arthur/Merlin, drunken First Time.
Notes: This story mixes the simple, magic ingredients of Arthur + Merlin + ALCOHOL. Good times! Effortlessly written.
