Last week I asked if it was Spring yet. Officially it is, but it was SNOWING yesterday so no. Spring is not here yet.

Summary: girl!Arthur. G.
Notes: Makeup!Arthur is the first animation and it's kind of scarypants, but girl!Arthur is SCARILY BELIEVABLE. I hope this manip inspires scores of genderswap <3 <3 3

A Kind of Balance by derryere (PG-13, 6k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin. Merlin accidentally turns himself into a girl via Alice in Wonderland shrooms. Arthur thinks he makes for a rather ugly one.
Notes: Equal parts cracky and hilarious, sweet and romantic. It's derryere, what more can I say except READ IT?

The Stars With You (Anytime) by flamebyrd (R, 12k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin space!AU. In which Merlin isn't quite sure how he feels about his captain, but is quite sure space would be a lot less interesting without him.
Notes: This fic reads like a swashbuckling space adventure, like a joke episode of Merlin but with GAY SEX. Their bantering is super cute and believable, and the small details thrown in like Arthur's slight jealousy over Gwen, or Merlin being bored without Arthur...cute cute cute.

Arthur was staring at his monitor, but a slight redness across his forehead implied he'd had his head on the desk shortly before.

Two Weeks Notice by ras_elased (NC-17, 38k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin modern!AU. Arthur is the prattish veep of the Pendragon Corporation, and Merlin's a tree-hugger who somehow becomes said prat's personal assistant. Only because he's trying to keep Arthur from developing on a natural habitat, of course.
Notes: God, this fic totally knocked my socks off. The entire behemoth is satisfying, indulgent, and addictive. Like eating chocolate, but for HOURS. I love the cameos, I love Will as a source of jealousy, and the boys are so so so great in this, full of wit and seriously refreshing dialogue. The fic is peppered with great lines like this:

"Dammit, Arthur, my ears are not handles."
HOTT. Or:

Arthur had about a half second warning before his smirk got smothered by a pillow.
The brevity! The personality!!

Ras seriously outdid herself. This is romantic-comedy-turned-fic at its best.

Wherein Merlin Wears a Dress and Arthur Buggers the Hell Out of Him by ifyouweremine (NC-17, 1k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin PWP. As for summary, see title.
Notes: UNABASHED PWP. What's not to like? There isn't enough smut in this fandom (probably due to the serious G-ratedness of the show itself), so I'm always open to some well-done Arthur/Merlin porn. And I will admit, ifyouweremine is one of my favorite authors in the Supernatural fandom, so I'm super duper excited to see her writing for Merlin \o/

No Ordinary Groupie by toestastegood (PG-13, 4k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin band!AU. Arthur POV. As an up and coming rock star, Arthur Pendragon is used to having people fall at his feet - and Merlin, a thoroughly unimpressed technician, is the only one willing to put him back in his place.
Notes: Arthur's voice in this is strong and amusing, and Merlin's character is simply adorable. In fact, that's this whole story--ADORABLE. Go read.
