Summary: Merlin is taught a valuable…lesson. Oh let’s be honest. It’s smut. All inklings of actual plot are purely coincidental. Bondage, Dom!Arthur, Humiliation (slight)
Notes: This is one of the hottest things I've ever read (think Secretary-type hot). Nelly!Merlin is kind of awesome.

The Romans Used to Walk This Land by facetofcathy (R, 2k)
Summary: "The Servant's Feast takes place every December and marks the night of an old Roman holy day," Gaius said, using his imparting-knowledge voice. "All the servants will sit in the great hall and the nobles with serve the feast."
Notes: Gotta love the Feast of Fools device! Arthur tries to seduce Merlin...and it's utterly adorable.

500 Miles by suzvoy (vid)
Summary:They have this thing. Where they keep saving each other. Fanvid done to "500 Miles" by The Proclaimers.
Notes: I'm biased! I love this song. The material is great too, though--the song describes the boys PERFECTLY and the vidder does a good job matching relevant scenes to the lyrics. It's upbeat and sweet and no-frills Arthur&Merlin.

Liberties by airinshaw (PG-13, 4k)
Summary: Arthur starts...noticing Merlin. Then he seduces him by abusing his princely power \o/
Notes: Romantic and lovely, simple as that.

The Breath Before Our New Beginning by such_heights (PG, 800)
Summary: Coda to the season finale. "Magic thunders in his veins now, not like the ripples and aftershocks he's used to, the feeling of potential."
Notes: This is powerful, poetic stuff. It's the only fic I've seen so far address Merlin's sudden, enormous surge of magical powers in the season finale, and the way the author describes it is electric. The best coda to the season finale that I've read so far, and the last paragraph will knock your socks off.
