my friend's blown in and out of town and i'm back trawling my f-list, but DUDE. GUYS. y'all are crazy prolific--i stayed up till 6a last night trying to sift through fic, but only got about as far as thursday when i need to be back at sunday! *headdesk*

i'm doing my best but in the meantime, any must-read fics i absolutely cannot miss? bbc_merlin_news is an amazing resource but i'm making s-l-o-w headway, clicking on every slash link =_=

i'll throw a bone! i've been working on the continuation of an arse is an arse of course of course and i'm gonna devote all of today to working on it. *nods emphatically*

the last week was fun though, btw :D did so much stuff in the city that i've been too lazy to do until now. saw the cloisters, checked out spamalot (wherein i was thinking nonstop about merlin and how completely, adorably gay all the characters were. hell, lancelot WAS gay, complete with his own campy number XDXDXD). statue of liberty (it was TINY), thanksgiving with friends, and no small number of new bars checked out. all sorts of good stuff. i missed you guys though!! hope the week's been good to ya!

oh, one more thing: EVERYBODY NEEDS TO GO WATCH LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. it's a swedish vampire movie. it's beautiful and tense with sharp, biting humor that had me busting a gut every five minutes or so, but above all and most spectacularly, it's the most romantic movie i've seen in a long, long time. and as a slash fan's bonus: it basically takes place between two gorgeous, ethereal little boys...which is kinda creepy on my part, but TRUST ME. IT'S WHOLESOME GOTH GOODNESS.


The trailer doesn't do it justice. It's much warmer than it purports to be.

lol, works for me! Strangely, this was one of the few films where I was okay NOT mentally slashifying everything. I guess the awesome other-ness of being a child vampire made up for the slash factor I usually crave. Sign of an awesome movie y/y?

Haha, oh... I went to look it up on IMDB. I am so, so sad that it's a girl and not a boy, because I thought that was the cutest thing ever.

I'm going to go with you though, and pretend it's a boy, because seriously, CUTE. Okay, it's cute with a girl too, but I have this thing for younger boys being all cuddly and whatnot.
