I signed up for spn_j2_bigbang! Technically I guess I'm 10k words in already, but the research and particular writing style takes SO. FREAKING. LONG. I hope I can get it in on time. *bites nails*

On a personal note, I had a reeeeally awful day today. Work-related stuff, and how I might not have a job soon, which doesn't help the whole issue with money and/or self-esteem :P I don't like being an adult. I wanna go back to school. /sulk

I'm so sorry to hear about your work situation. Money's always a bitch, but I hope this doesn't hurt your self-esteem.

It's sad that in the 'real world' so many people can't see the value in intelligent and unique individuals. We're led to believe as children that 'the cream rises to the top', or that hard work, talent and/or personal drive can achieve anything, but, really, in all I've seen and experienced, I swear that mediocrity reigns in virtually every industry.

I don't know the particulars of your current situation, but everything I know about you suggests to me that whatever's wrong isn't due to something that's lacking in you.

I hope that things get better, but whatever happens, don't let petty people, or arrogant people, or stupid people, or anyone else grind you down. (Shit, that was almost a U2 quote. Sorry. :P )

Aww, thanks for the kind words babe. Yeah, the situation isn't so much my performance per se, than it is my lack of experience. So I'm not Really taking it personally (trying not to, at least), but we'll see. It just sucks that this job isn't really working out, and it took me *so* long to land it. I guess it's back to job-hunting again... *sigh*

Yay for spn_j2_bigbang! I wouldn't worry too much, if you've got 10k words already you're halfay there, and you have several months to finish it. You'll do fine.

Sorry to hear about work. And sorry I missed your call today - the wisdom teeth came out yesterday and if you're still tinking about having yours removed, let me give you this piece of advice: don't get all four done at once. I'm ridiculously sick and can barely talk right now :/

Hee, well I did sign up, with two different ideas in mind - unfortunately, the one I really wanted to do is an AU Dean/Sam, but I just found a fic (that I think was written for last year's bigbang, ironically enough) that is like the exact same premise of my idea :/ That's pretty frustrating.

Hee. Do you like BBQ food? Once I can eat solids again I need to take you to Dinosaur BBQ, if you haven't already been - it's in you neck of the woods, right by the Fairway, and holy god is it good. Food to make all your troubles go away! (at least for a few hours)
