I get what you guys are saying. Jared really fell flat on the whole "drunk" scene (dude, the average college kid can act drunk better than that), and it was kind of painful to watch. The segue into re-hash-hash-hashed Sam!angst was awkward and unnecessary. The entering-hotel scene was straight lifted from previous episodes.

But.

CRACK episode, c'mon guys!!! Dolls and haunted houses, imaginary ghosts and creepy old women in attics. This was horror crack through and through, and I totally lapped it up. Tons of unattractive snickering.

On top of that, SLASH episode. As somebody else says (i forget who :( ), the fandom does slash better, but c'mon. I'll take Jared and Jensen making out over a magnum opus, anyday.

And Jensen, oh Jensen was *radiant* this episode. I mean sure he was awkward and jumpy and strange, but his facial expressions killed me. You could tell how he felt about everything just from his crazily-flexible eyebrows and it was fun as hell to watch.

Also. Am I just retarded or something? What the hell does "antiquing" mean? I thought it was like, hunting for antiques. Or something. Ergh.

Excuse me while I go back and rewatch the I'm-gonna-kiss-you scene.

(How does everybody watch the episode so quickly?? I guess I do torrent mine :P)

I just got to watch the episode too, so I'm still all in *squee* mode over it.

I honestly didn't notice anything bad about Jared's acting in the drunk scene, but quite frankly, it wasn't his acting I was looking at, if you know what I mean. He can act as bad as he likes, just so long as he keeps on trying to throw Dean down onto the bed and have his wicked Drunk!Sammy way with him. :D

I just... yeah.

But I agree whole heartedly with you on the Jensen front. So much of what Dean's feeling is said through facial expressions, since he's not real big on sharing his feelings with word and Jensen really did knock it out of the park this week. It's too bad all the dialog seemed forced and weird.

The near kiss is the one thing that really made the episode for me. I love that entire clutching scene for a lot of different reasons, the kiss being the biggest one. But I also really love Dean's underlying anger there at the end when Sam asks him to do that thing.

Anyway, not my favorite, but seeing why other people liked it helps me to not hate is so much.
