I keep trying to foist the show on unsuspecting friends, but pretty much I've just managed to rewatch the first episode about four times with different people (as opposed to sitting down and cranking through the series with one person). Ehhhh I guess I'm just gonna have to suck it up and watch it again by myself. THERE ARE WORSE THINGS IN LIFE

Don't You Let Me Go by cherrybina (NC-17, 1k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, PWP, established relationship. Arthur and Merlin can't seem to make it out of bed.
Notes: Insta-porn! cherrybina rocks at this stuff.

Even the Best of Friends on rah_rah_ramen (NC-17, 16k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, highschool!AU. Arthur is a rich prat and Merlin has the misfortune of being his live-in servant. It doesn't help that they've known each other since childhood...
Notes: The pacing here is super quick, zipping through all the events of Arthur and Merlin's intertwined lives. The brevity makes for a very fun, rollicking read, which is aided by equally fun angst and romance :)

The Falling out of Love Potion on camelotsolstice (NC-17, 14k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, magical mayhem, crack, fluff. Gaius has a potion. It shouldn’t be drunk, no really, except that Merlin has just found out he’s in a sad pickle.
Notes: This story totally won my heart. Merlin's adorably, haplessly in love and Arthur is so HIM, all pompous and nosy about Merlin's odd behaviour. Magic plays a fun role in this and the end scene? Equal parts hotness and sweetness. In fact, the entire story is perfectly well balanced with humor, angst, romance, and fluff.

weave the sunlight on camelotsolstice (PG, 6k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, modern!AU, first time. Novelist!Arthur has writers block and it seems the only thing that can distract him is the florist down the street.
Notes: Florist!Merlin might possibly be the best thing ever invented. He's so well-suited for it! And Arthur always cracks me up when he's being completely dense, as he is in here. The story has the feel of a mini rom-com, including awkward first meetings, romantic gestures, and silly miscommunications.

Not Everybody Has Got a Body Like You by queenklu (PG-13, ~8k)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, bodyswap, crack. It's bodyswap! Do you really need more plot?
Notes: All I can say about this fic is: HEE! Great hijinks, and Arthur and Merlin are absolutely lovable as bantery, magically afflicted boys.

The Keeper by tierfal (G, 400 words)
Summary: Arthur/Merlin, angst, future!fic. It's a monarch's obligation. A tender morning scene.
Notes: Beautiful and effervescent. The scene is practically glowing off the page (screen?) with the descriptions of sunshine and Merlin's pretty skin. I APPROVE OF THIS. Also, tierfal is one of my favorite authors in this fandom so keep an eye out for her ;)

"Just Friends" by dentedsky (PG, 5k)
Summary: Merlin/Morgana, modern!AU. Morgause sets Morgana up on a bunch of incredibly awful dates. Oh, and there's superheroes. Merlin's been crushing after Morgana for years and she finally catches the drift.
Notes: Merlin's so believable in here as his dorky, earnest self. I love all the outfits the author puts him in too, muahah.

Merlin Mice! by o_deanna (art)
Summary: Arthur&Merlin, G. Arthur and Merlin knit into mice.
Notes: Oh man, the craftsmanship here is unreal o_o I do some knitting myself, so let me tell you--these are crazy well done. And also? CUUUUUUTE

LOL. I forced my sister to be into Generation Kill with me so I could marathon it and she is the best person to marathon with. She ended up loving it just as much as me, so it was all good. ;)

I know this was posted like three years ago, BUT. I've been away from LJ and this is the first time I see this, AND. GK!!! It's amazing, isn't it? IT IS!
